Is anyone "genuine" in the house, when there is so much at stake and so few of them are imbued with genuine greatness. For some it's the Last Chance Saloon, for others a possible step up the slippery slope to success. Consider reprehensible Louis Walsh, once a predator insulting the music world with manufactured mediocre boy bands - who were to music what raw kangaroo testicles are to haute cuisine - but these days a soulless wreck content to nibble his fiingernails and explore the dark and dank corners of his inner cheeks with his restless tongue which, like a shark, never stops moving. The analogy doen't end there, for Louis is as adept at manipulating and maligning his fellow housemates as he was at bringing woeful music to the masses. Consider how he blamed the selection of the three "bad first impression" candidates on Sharon, when it was he who clearly contrived their nomination. A weasel and a yes-man supplicant grovelling heartily at the feet of Simon Cowell whenevr Cowell gave him permission.
In the office environment he is the water cooler assassin who will malign colleagues in your presence, but do the same to you to the very people he libelled earlier as soon as your back is turned.
Walsh represents the first successful human hybridisation of predator and sycophant.
