Thankfully after years of renting my daughter is getting on the property ladder. Fingers crossed it all goes well, her mortgage will be lower than her rent, win win.

and that should tell you what you need to know about rental prices, some landlords are greedy they are not just covering their mortgages and a bit for maintenance, many are taking an income as well.

My son rents the second bedroom in his house, he could put the rent up as he is renting for considerably under the going rate now but he likes his flatmate and as he is from India he gets the occasional authentic indian dinner
