Honestly gay people should be more up-in-arms about it than anyone else - and, indeed, groups that are up-in-arms about it are out there. For me I think that if someone wants to use a slur then they should be allowed to use it.

I am very much a freedom of speech kind of person.

Obviously people also have the right to react negatively or positively to anyone that's using slurs in my ideal world.

Because what I like about freedom of speech if it were actually a thing, is that I personally get to know two things about the individual.

1. What the person is really thinking
2. What I really think of that individual, rather than a pretend version of that person

I really do believe that we need to stop trying to censor/ban anything that offends some people's sensibilities.

And the block button on Social Media platforms needs to be reworked imo, so that people don't go into their own echo chamber, therefore not developing a thick skin.

I personally would have it that any slur is allowed to be used.

However I also would support other people's right to not agree with the person using said slur.

Like for example, if someone said that all men are horrible Human Beings, I would support their right to say that, as long as it's not threatening behaviour or constant harassment.

And obviously any of the racial slurs would be allowed too, as I want to know who the twats are.

Luckily for a lot of people, I have no say in how the world works, so you have nothing to fear.

Tbh I don't really know that much about the Laken Riley case, away from the Wikipedia description.
