I wouldn't be going out at all doing canvassing for Labour if the Rwanda policy would be carried on by us.

I've detested the Rwanda policy from it first being mentioned.

How would you feel if on day one it isn't scrapped, and you've all been led a merry dance for the zillionth time, by this absolute shyster?

I can tell you how I'll feel if it is scrapped "bloody hell, fair play. I'm shocked, now lets see what else he does that's more progressive than he appeared"

You are wrong and I won't be disappointed

Maybe it would please you more now to see Sunak and co continue.

I don't walk away just because I don't get my own way.
You've turned solid against Labour.
I haven't and I wanted a Corbyn win as much as you or others.
However, he'd not have been able at all to do his nationalisation promises because had he won in 2019.
He'd have had the pandemic massive crisis too.

So he'd have had to disappoint you and loads of others.in breakimg a lot of manifesto promises in light of that.

I didn't walk away when I didn't get my own way. I wouldn't have picked Starmer, I'd have gone for RBG, but I walked away when Starmer turned away from what got him elected into a tory tribute act. You can try and pretend that he hasn't, but I think everyone has seen what he's done.

I think there is also a complete misconception that Starmer is the reason lab will win the next election, and not because of a complete 5 year meltdown by the Tories.

You call yourself a socialist Joey, and there is nothing socialist about labour anymore. If you want teams, then you're doing the right thing, but voting for the closest party to my principles (even though they have no chance of winning government), isn't taking the easy way out. Voting for the opposite of socialism because you believe you're part of their team is taking the easy way, my friend.

We've never had a socialist government since 1945.

I am a socialist but also a realist.

Corbyn twice put to the voters a more socialist filled manifesto.
It was rejected twice.

I don't want a Con government in power continuously.
I'll be content to see more understanding, compromise, fairness, justice and compassion from a government.
That I believe will at the very least come from Labour.

That's why I will stay loyal.
Even though I cannot stand Starmer either

Ir's not Corbyn. What has happened to all the left wing MP's? You're not blind, and I know you're as much of a political junkie as I am, so i know you see it.

There is absolutely no evidence that the laundry list you've just posted has any relevance to labour, and it's all pretty subjective on top. I want those same things too, but wearing a different coloured rosette to the tories isn't a reason to vote for them

Also principles are principles, not to be traded away because there is a whiff of power. Starmer could have put the communist manifesto infront of voters this cycle and he would have won - because of the tories. yet he hasn't, he's gone further to the right to attract tories.A party at home with tory defections, but not with abbott, corbyn or the rest, isn't a progressive party and never will be.

Labour aren't Tories
Although not ALL Con policies are wrong just as not all Labour ones are right.

Plus I wouldn't vote Labour if I remotely thought they were.either.

Good grief what, Joey?

Austerity? You like that one? Good, because we're keeping it.

Privatised NHS? Good

I could list the sh1t out of this where there are no differences between the parties, but it's easier to just play make believe and pretend that everything starmer has said, he hasn't.

The party of Elphicke. Congrats.

I simply do not agree with your idea of Labour.
Pure and simple.
The Labour Party you paint, is not the Party of members I see and mix with.
Not all all.

You've turned away from it.
I haven't.

What you choose to see and what you choose to ignore doesn't prove anything. There have been times in the starmer thread where you've openly wrestled with his actions and now puff, all forgotten.

That's your right Joey, and I don't hold it against you, but lets not pretend that you have no idea what i'm talking about.

That's cool, Joey. I'm not looking to get into an argument with you, but anyone can check exactly what I've written here, and what I've said about your u-turns. Not saying you were ever going to drop labour, because you are labour through and through, well since you left the tories and lib dems at least.

Have a good night, Joey.

I personally don't like Starmer, personally I was more of an Ed Miliband guy out of the recent Labour leaders.

However Starmer can't get away with being a full blown Tory, because his backbenchers will have something to say about that if he were to try.
