Assange highlighted abuse of prisoners in U.S custody, human rights violations and civilian deaths. These releases resulted in two major resignations DNC and caused a lot of harm to the Clinton campaign. Nobody died because of what Assange did.
MSM tell us that Assange never retracted names, but he did.
MSM ask if Assange is a real journalist. He likely has more awards for journalism than those working for the big rags today.

Let's remember though, these reports were done in the early days of Twitter and FB and back then, everyone was either excited or nervous about citizen journalism. Compare that to now when we find huge amounts of leaks/truths/exposures.
If they sent every journalist to jail for revealing war crimes, they would have to build new prisons.
Now we have a huge amount of citizen journalism and people are moving away from MSM because institutional media remain very tight with the political system.

Nobody died because of what Assange did.
