I think US politics is largely a fancy-dress party so in terms of global politics I don't really care who wins in November... Or rather... I wouldnt care... But if Trump does win, Alf is going to be absolutely insufferable. I'm not sure TiBB can take it.

Never say never. This is so dire I cant see how the dems win. I cannot fathom what a Trump 2nd term would be like. He'd end term limits, he'll make himself an Emperor/king. ITs genuinely frightens me what he might do with no one to stop him

Isn’t it nice when we can all just talk and not have the name calling BS that usually happens in every single political thread? Jo Biden bringing us together!

If Big Mike gets put in. Then we'll have to have some more scrutiny on that person that died at the Obama home a short time ago. A story that vanished very quickly.

I'm pleased that he's made this decision. Biden is not in a great way and he should spend his remaining years with family and friends enjoying some leisure and recreation (that's just to say he's an old man showing his age, I'm sure he's got plenty of time left)

I think it's too late for the Dems though, it's going to look totally farcical whoever runs

Not if rumours of what's on Hunter's laptop is true. Hopefully he will be served justice just like any other person would be.

We know that both Rudi Guliani and Matt Gaetz have a copy of it, because they've told us so, but are waiting for the FBI to release what they have, which so far they have been keeping hidden, even denying it existed, until they couldn't no more.

who ever wins the nomination is going to get instant name recognition as the person to vote for to defeat trump. The situation they had up till today was a candidate who was lucky to put a sentence together. Having a swing state candidate on the ticket delivers that state

The bit in bold is the problem. I dont think it works.

Regardless of what you may think of him, we know what we're getting with Trump. We dont with the other candidates unless its Michelle Obama etc. There isnt enough instant name recognition to get anyone to the level needed and progressives wont vote for someone, anyone, to defeat Trump. IT didn't work in 2016 and wont this time either.

Dundalk today Cherie. But apparently we have to thank Biden for being a voice of reason or something?

The Irish people are out on the streets all over the country.

The counter protest organised by the government so the MSM can lead on it tomorrow and not all the demos

if it doesn't work and trump wins then the dems and the voters only have themselves to blame

Joe Biden's co-chair just this morning is "crystal clear"

It's looking like it was a coup.

These were the fears before his first time and he did precisely eff all... When he gets in again he won't make any huge or meaningful change.

As for ending term limits - why bother? It would be a concern if he was a 50 year old man, sure. As it stands, by the time he's due to leave his 2nd term he'll be well into his early 80's. He can end persidential term limits all he wants, I don't think basic biology or the Grim Reaper are particularly interested din his legislation changes. He might squeeze in a few extra years if he's lucky? Like I know people deify Trump etc but... let's engage in some realism here. He's 78. Statistically speaking, in less than 10 years, he will no longer be a concern.

"If you don't step aside Joe, we gonna put you and Hunter in jail"

I'm paraphrasing, but it probably went something like that.
