It's scary when the government is telling the law courts how to respond to the rioters up in court. I'm all for past offenders to be refused bail, but 1st offenders shouldnt be getting remanded for pushing bins or throwing stuff.

I just like a fair and just society for all. People shouldn't be refused bail just cause the PM says so. Every one of them should have a proper background check and their chances of reoffending whilst on bail should be taken into account. the PM cannot change the justice system without passing a law in parliament. His words in a speech mean nothing and carry zero weight
