Hezbollah was created to rid Lebanon of the American presence, formed in 1982, its first large scale bomb was the American embassy in Lebanon.

The 2nd attack targeted the foreign soldiers in Lebanon, which included American french and british troops.

1982 saw an invasion of Lebanon, by Israel. Thank you for adding context to the fact that Israel has repeatedly invaded and attacked it's neighbours, which would explain why these countries needed to defend themselves without the backing of the worlds largest superpower.

Israel has had its existence threatened by terrorist organisations and the Nations that harbour them.
The deaths are horrific and no one cannot be saddened by more and more.
However I cannot condemn Israel.
There does come times where enough is enough.
I'd love to think both Palestinians and Israelis could find a way to combat the terrorist groups which constantly threaten the region.
That may be a wistful hope however thinking of the fear the Israeli people have lived under since the State of Israel was created.
Is also immeasurable.

It probably doesn't help that our own countries aren't being the best examples of promoting peace. We can't really change the situation, but whoever is in power, we really should focus on getting our own ducks in a row and encouraging our leaders to tone down the rhetoric. Still, I feel blessed to have the freedoms and benefits that I do have and wish we all share in at least a basic mutual peace.

Israel didnt invade in 1982, they were part of a multi nation force keeping some sort of order. The first invasion by either aide after the creation of Hezbollah was in 2006 when hezbollah into israel and captured 2 israeli soldiers. Their leader who just died said at the time it was so they could have prisoners of their own to request a prisoner exchange deal. They underestimated the response by Israel to this, their leader who just died predicting the percent of a large scale response being around 4 percent.
