maybe it wasn’t a good experience for you because you traded with the media your coming out story as a deal for them not to expose you for what you had done to that boy?

The mere concept of ‘Castaway’ insinuates someone left alone to fend for himself ‘like’ insinuating this is what the BBC did and many colleagues. Phillip being given the opportunity to play the ‘victim’ with nobody to question his accusations.
