The Gulf has been ideal for storms this year. We had 3 hailstorms in May-June which is very unusual for us. Not surprising that we got a hurricane. We were at Galveston several days ago and the winds were unusually high for the both the time of year and the weather we were having, so yeah.. very worried for FL.

Looks eye will go through Saratoga with Tampa bay escaping the worst of the surge but will get battered with 5-8" rain. Lots of rain to north of Eye, dryer south but more storm surge

We got a cold spell here and a bunch of windy dry air to go with. I have thermostats set indoors and outdoor that monitor humidity and I make sure it doesn't dip too low. My humidifier went into my daughter's room overnight, but I had to take Nyquil last night because I was feeling so crummy... my heater is on to keep any of us waking up with sick chills, but it's not set very high at all.
