i don't think there is any time limitation regarding hate speech, so it wouldn't matter if it were 1 year or 10 years. However, you can only be tried based on the laws that existed at the time of the supposed offence and if, as is likely, there are thousands of examples where people wrote similar but were not prosecuted, there will be trouble
