So I'd have preferred anyone on under 15,000 income a year to still get it. However I've been assisting done pensioners who didn't think they could get it. Pensioners I know obviously. I've found you can have over £220 stste pension as income, a very small private/works pension. Can own your own home and have up to £10,000 savings. Then still get pension credit of even just a couple of pound a week. The Farmers should pay the tax, I've no problem with them being no longer exempt. However yes, the winter fuel payment is a bad move. Although I can accept it shouldn't be paid universally to all of pension age. As for this petition. Where were these at the time of the cruel bedroom tax, elderly put in danger in care homes during COVID. Or the hateful.cruel new criteria of assessing the sick and disabled. |
