These songs have been used that much because there's basically no other songs to fit the dances I had from those decades.
It was either Mambo no.5 or "I'll be there for you" by the Rembrandts ( The Friends theme tune) 90s Quickstep songs are limited
The only other was "Cotton eye joe" and that's also been done to death. I think I chose the most fun one of the three.
The obvious 80s choice for a Samba is Gloria Estafan song. But I thought I was being more creative going with Lionel Ritchie.
The only other song I could find to fit well for a Samba was "I haven't stopped dancing yet" by Odyssey. And believe me, I searched.
I even commented that I was confident with my choices and that I chose the best options for the dances I had. I thought I was well safe.
Can't believe I got beat, I thought there was a few poor efforts in there, that didn't fit the dances they had.
