Ren has an incredibly tough back story and that's probably why his music is so original and quite stunning in places

In my opinion Ren is primarily an extraordinary poet. Everything else he does is in support of that. The instruments, the singing, the presentation all feed into it. When it all comes together and hits the sweet spot, nothing compares

……I always forget how much I like him and then I listen to him again …his songs bring such a range of feeling because it’s so incredibly sad that many of his lyrics connect to physical pain and how much of that he’s gone through in his young life…but his music is so incredibly uplifting as well in how much he’s overcome …not in spite of but even, because of…?…such a mixture of emotion, I really love his music…
