I do however see your points as to any real change plus also the spin element too.

I still hold hope in those who don't vote and it's still why I support PR for elections.
We had Farage and his divisive lot crowing Reform was ahead of the Cons and rising during the election.
Yet it was utter nonsense, his lot were 10% behind the Conservatives on voting day.
Plus 40% didn't even vote so they felt no enthusiasm for Farage and Reform.
Plus so many I talked to when campaigning, who don't vote.
The issues they were concerned about were the NHS, and cost of living.
Nothing if the harder uncompromising more right wing divisive stuff.

Anyhow, a long, long way to go to the next election.
It does not need to be until August 2029.
It won't be any earlier unless it looks like the government would win.

No one has any real idea of where the economic situation will really be by then, or what success or failure the government has had happen.
I still believe PR, will be a way forward and start to realise change
Plus I still believe that it would never hopefully or likely be the case, anywhere up to 50% of voters would support the destructive, divisive rhetoric of Farage and his lot.
No matter what unfurls meantime under this current unrepresentative electoral system over the next 4 and a half years.
Reform are building power day by day.

Would not surprise me one bit if Nigel becomes PM in a few years time.

I think you're a bit naive
