West Ham have cancelled a planned news conference with head coach Julen Lopetegui, with the Spaniard's future at the club looking increasingly uncertain.

The 58-year-old was due to speak to the media on Wednesday, before the FA Cup third-round tie with Aston Villa on Friday.

The move comes amid expectation Lopetegui will be sacked - with the Hammers holding talks with former Brighton and Chelsea boss Graham Potter over replacing him, initially on a short-term deal.

Former AC Milan boss Paulo Fonseca and ex-Paris St-Germain manager Christophe Galtier, now a coach in the Saudi Pro League, have both been spoken to by West Ham.

However the belief from both camps is Potter will get the job.

What's the plus side for Potter taking the job if it's a short contract. Sounds like he wont be given time to do anything

80m is the amount being mentioned and I think united would be mad to turn it down. United need to move on from the days when they kept young talent. They need to make money when it's there and stop giving out massive long term contracts

Really is an insane amount tbh, teams are paying for the potential potential, always a risk. Still, if any team are willing to pay massively over the odds for a, so far, unproven player, it's Chelsea.

Arsenal have a shed-load of cash to spend and would love Isak but he will cost Ł150+ million so they may consider Liam Delap at
Ł40 to Ł60 million !!


I think he would be an ideal focal point for them actually … whilst adding some much needed aggression .

There’s no way he will want to go back down to the championship

What's the plus side for Potter taking the job if it's a short contract. Sounds like he wont be given time to do anything

Sometimes its possible to make an instant impression… I was always amazed how managers in Italy took over in the summer and were flying at the top of the league a few weeks later .

The Italian clubs tend to swap managers fairly regularly as I recall some just getting a season then get replaced but the club continues to be successful

that was a nice game from Nottingham vs Liverpool


many superb saves by Mats Sels



and 1 point against a dominating force what Liverpool usually is, is also a win tbh



no, i deffo see the potential for a top 4 finish for Nottingham


especially that will to win the point, to defend with everything you got, because Salah sure had some great scoring opportunities although proper defending from Sels and on the line as well by Aina
