Calling him fake is like saying his name outloud, so he's probably not actually bothered. He's going to make a big deal to get as much attention as possible, though. And of course he wants to anxiously get the other HMs involved because he needs them to care that much more.

In a normal life situation, if people saw two young people acting like young people out in the public, most really wouldn't spend 5-6 minutes eating themselves up trying to figure out every bit of their behavior, much less 5-6 hours. Also young people who ask for opinions over and over from every single person they see, usually far more people than is necessary to come to a good conclusion, do so because they thrive off the social chaos it creates.

I may have a different opinion tomorrow when I see the highlights, but I'm willing to bet that it's basically a game plan to keep up his part in the core dynamic..

How do they know how many followers she has? When did that come up? That's an interesting detail. It's not like Jack/whoever had Jojo's social media acct memorized before entering the house.

Also, he would've failed the lie detector with that answer. He's in Celebrity Big Brother. If he were a regular in civvy, maybe he could get away with feigning ignorance, but he trades on his name professionally so it's not even possible. Even if he trends just a bit more via her base, it raises things like Q scores, and any increase in public recognize-ability means he could land more gigs. Metrics don't even have to indicate people are directly his "fans", but just that more recognize him and that his profile is on the upward trend and that people are interested in talking about him. He has to know he's being mentioned also because he and her are playing things up for the cameras with a committed SO there, so they both have something that will certainly trend.
