Tbh Jack and Danny were both playing a similar strategy which was to make people laugh.

It's just if you prefer your humour more outlandish (Danny) or do you prefer a more subtle/dry humour that Jack tended to provide.

I personally think that both could be funny, but I do think that Jack's type of humour was much more needed in a series that was as subtle as a brick in every other department.
