1. When you’re part of a group and the rest of the group wants to keep gallivanting up and down everywhere and just cannot stay still in one place. Pace and restlessness, stillness feeling (to them) like a void to be filled instead of a space to breathe.

Extraverts in-general can be so, so annoying.

2. The snotty-nosed squad who sniff and do every other thing but blow their nose. Nightmare for misophones, and wherever you go there’s always a sniffer. There’s always one.

Noses can be such horrid organs. Drippy, sniffly, wet, sneezy little saboteurs.

I may or may not have mentioned this before but people recommending going on a walk to cure Sunday-boredom/melancholy is infuriating. As-if strolling past bins and closed shops, and the odd ugly mouse in the corner, is going to even touch the sides of a particular kind of existential entrapment and hollow time-stretching Sunday brings. A walk might boost the mood for all of 3 minutes but then that’s it.

Men being called "Simps" just because they respect one woman in the entertainment space.

Thankfully I've never had that word said to me (surprisingly,) but I hear all of the time on Social Media, and half of the time it's coming from Incels who just resent people being respectful towards women.

Therefore they don't even use the word correctly.

If you like Anime Movies with a dark ending you would have a shot at Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade.

And I have got to watch Grave Of The Fireflies myself eventually.

…oh thank you for the recommendation, ill check it out Mock…I haven’t watched lots of Anime, its not a genre that I would specifically look out for…but the ones that I have seen are pretty stunning in their visuals and storyline and really excel at pulling on emotions…

Tbh I'm only really just starting to go into Anime Movies myself (that aren't Disney or DreamWorks related anyway lol,) but I definitely think that Jin-Roh can pack a punch in the writing department imo.

I'm not an animation expert tbh, so I don't know how you would rank it against other Animation Films in that particular area.

…I think that’s it, anime can be so well written that you completely absorb and it’s often such an emotional journey…/…that’s for sure the way with Grave of the Fireflies and I will check out Jin-Roh on your recommendation, Mock…

I will do the same with Grave Of The Fireflies.

I'm hoping to have seen within the next few weeks, but I know what my brain is like, so there's no guarantees.

People who think advertising Shilajit and Trip on their TikTok showcase makes up for a lack of a decent, likeable personality. You’re not an influencer. You’re a walking affiliate link, selling vibes because they’ve got no value. The people of integrity who you’re looking up to on that front, consciously or from an undercurrent-imprint from 4/5 years ago, bask in better Sea Moss and magnesium glycinate every minute and they’ve been where you are but with their heads more screwed on a billion times. Their quiet Friday-night peace is serene, squeaky-clean and unmatched, something an aesthetic-with-no-ethics person couldn’t even half-match in a trillion lifetimes, whether they’re 27, 19 or 80. You can’t compete with integrity in self-betterment. Especially if you’re a narcissist.

What the person of integrity sees lying down with their eyes closed a clout-Chad couldn’t see on top of Mount-Everest with 20/20 HD-vision. You can try but it’ll never be as good or authentic. It’s like comparing white rice with mayonnaise that’s trying to be woke with the addition of a few mint-leaves and two slices of avocado to maple-and-opepe-smoked jollof-coconut rice basking in supreme bottom-pot vibes, venison, goose, juicy turkey, deer-liver, aptly-proportioned flamingo and steamed amaranth for sides. Their nourishment comes from entirely within themselves, when they’re doing it right. It’s as clear-cut as that.

If the clout-vitaminista is genuinely a good person in themselves and has qualities to bring to the table that in some shape might better society (or at-least have them standing firm in their morale, with nobody getting hurt as a result of them), okay. Cool. But being into chakra energy (a prey-niche of narcissists) and … “omG try ashwaganda” doesn’t make you interesting, cool or a good person when your soul is permanently rotten. So don’t bother, chad. You’re nothing. A complete waste of space with a foul soul to boot. Rot in hell.

People recording voice-notes in places that are too windy/noisy otherwise to actually hear them clearly.

Flo. Chinyere (nee All Nigerian Recipes) emphasising so much why jollof rice shouldn’t burn at the bottom, even stating original, as-opposed to regular (which apparently burns easier), stainless steel pots as her preference. Even if there is a subtle line between bottom-pot-burnt and genuinely smoky, there’s no reason, when the vibe fits, for both to coincide, and there’s even a scientific reason behind why certain foods taste better towards the bottom of the pot. Other cultures do it often enough. And at the end of the day Flo.’s a scientist, so that empirical backing behind bottom-pot (rice) should appeal to her nature. Avoiding the Mallard reaction isn’t what inherently makes someone a better cook of jollof rice than someone-else.

Over-used suffix fillers (“can I”, “would it/I/you”, “is it”) can be very irritating.

One of my seriously pet hates are cans of food that don’t fit nicely together when you stack them up ..

Heinz beans for example have flat bottoms and just slide off - its a nightmare if you like neat and tidy tin cupboard

I've said this before but some vocal tics just annoy me - the guests on Jeremy Vine this morning: the woman drops every H in every word, and the man has a mouth full of marbles I don't know if I can watch!!
