the new lead star, Ryan Kiera Armstrong and its confirmed Buffy will be in a recurring role in this revival, i'm thinking in a ''Giles'' alike role as a watcher  that could work nicely i thinkand honestly, the ending of the original had quite an open ending, makes sense to bring it back now, with the OG's just older (although if James Marsters is back as Spike i'm assuming they make him younger with help of digitalisation since vampires don't age)
