🚨 BREAKING : Reform's Staffordshire County Council has REFUSED to pay for this year's August “pride parade”.
In a statement Reform said that it’s not a good use of taxpayers money. Ian Cooper said: "We're not against Pride - have a great time, enjoy yourself. However, we are not going to spend taxpayers' money funding that. "If you want to do that, go to the private sector, ask charities, put your hand in your own pocket - we think priorities are better spent on other things." |

Not really - this council contributed less than £2k to Pride. It's kind of bas business because pride is an event that brings people into a city centre, spending money on public transport or parking, in shops, restaurants and in bars, etc... so it's good, economically. However it's not a huge issue, because they donated so little, which will be made up in other ways.
