Yes, one is using something that actually happened to come to a likely conclusion on motivation, the other is blaming a specific demographic for no reason.

One does no harm, the other perpetuates racial division based on nothing.

But it's needless, because there is no evidence it was religiously motivated, so it's all just finger-pointing. Again, you're focusing on the statistics of that demographic's religion which ignoring the statistics surrounding the demographic in the town it took place, which once again I will state is almost 99% white and made up of basically Catholics and Atheists.

According to the latest Census, the number of Muslim residents are: 71, compared to over 9,000 Christians and 12,000 atheists, just to put that into context.

With this in mind, and as stats are so important to you, do you not think it' wild you're prepared to point the finger at a group that make up 0.2% of the towns population without just cause. Does that not strike you as a weird thing to do?

Why would I, I haven't claimed it was religiously motivated.

I pointed out the other religious (or lack of religion) demographics for perspective on just how few Muslim residents there are.

If you can explain how me highlighting the minute number of Muslim residents destroys my argument that would be great.

Aside from that obvious flaw in logic, it seems you have a habit of painting all religious demographics with the same brush - most positive and negative - which is poor form. The idea no atheist or Christian is homophobic is a wild claim.

Although not many have it written into their rules nor abide by it so vigorously as Islam does. And even if they do... Jews and Christians for example, both acknowledge the book of Leviticus, but apart from your weird, joyless fundamentalists, they're pretty accepting of gay people. Islam is about 300 years behind other religions, though.
