Burning effigies. Sorry I thought your examples were trying to make that point, my mistake if not.
I am all for protests but personally I don't like burning flags/effigies/symbols, particularly when aimed at those most vulnerable in society. I just hate the imagery and extreme hatred it exudes. |

As already remarked, the bonfire in question was pointing out Refugees - indeed they are very vulnerable.
