…only a few weeks ago we went out for an afternoon tea with my mother in law and we had this whole jam/cream first conversation with her at the table…then several people on nearby tables started to join in with their opinion…anyway, when a guy got up to leave the tearooms he came over and said that it actually depends on whether it’s a Devon cream scone or a Cornish one…the Devon way is cream first and the Cornish way is jam first…so I guess that it’s either/or/both/all are correct …
