Yes Another Title Change

After what Putin did I am amazing that anyone is negotiating with him .. he’s obviously mentally unstable and completely unreliable

Even if they come to some kind of agreement we can’t rely on him keeping his word

You are not seeing the bigger picture this time it’s Ukraine next time it could be the uk be at war with Russia

You have to stand up to a bully that’s why Europe the uk and USA are funding this war

Ukraine simply isn't going to regain all of the territory it lost, not without an outright military invasion ... and no-one wants World War III.

The idea that Putin is the only one who should compromise is just pie in the sky.

We are dealing with another saddam Hussain or hitler or any other mass murderer you care to mention he should of had a bullet in the head years ago
We shouldn’t be sharing a table with the scum bag

He shows the contempt he has for this country by sending two killers to poison the man and his daughter

Well so far Putin has said NO.

Trump ignores that
thinking he can bring him into a room
with Zelensky.

This why my titles
assumes its Putin's number 2

Easy pick is Sergey Lavrov (not Number 2, but good enough)

[Minister of Foreign Affairs
of the Russian Federation]

Putin and Russia should not and should never now be ANYWHERE in Ukraine.
It's ridiculous to bow down to a dictator like Putin and even look to appease him
Absolutely cowardice and despicable that would be

How many lives should be sacrificed to change who rules over the land already taken by Russia?

What about all the lives that have been lost so far and all the suffering by people basically defending themselves

Should their death count for nothing?

Yeah, that would've been the time to have done something, not waited until it's an unstoppable war. And wars are fought over more than just land (obviously...). Public reception and national pride are key factors also. Both have major incentives to never back down. At some point it becomes enabling by other countries to keep supplying resources for a scenario that won't change the outcome.

Any country, including the US, could consider getting directly involved and actually "end it" at any time if they wanted to... but then each have to admit that they actually don't want a direct war with Russia. So yeah, why would Russia back down if it still thinks by maintaining the status quo it'll eventually get what it wants?

There's also the small, but not nonexistent possibility all of our countries get pulled deeper into war depending on what Ukraine does. Maybe Ukraine becomes desperate or acts out of national pride and starts invading parts of Russia? Then what? Are we all going to be like "Woo Hoo, Go Ukraine!" when that happens?... probably not.

Putin has made it clear he wants to restore russia to the size of the soviet union. That is unacceptable in europe. Europe is already at war, they just don't want to admit it yet

My feeling on that has always been they're just waiting for him to croak. Wasn't it reported he had a terminal illness? If they believe those reports, it makes a lot of sense to hold off... he's 72.
