I had to change out my PC's speaker system because 1) subwoofer was making it difficult for actual woofer to nap underneath my desk, so wanted that gone and 2) the left speaker wire connection was failing so it really was only one speaker working... it's been like that a while so it was time for a replacement...

Anyway, I changed out to a small soundbar that just happens to do RGB lighting. It has a mode that when audio is coming through, it lights up with the audio...

The speaker:



I had a Windows alarm going off when I walked into the office so my daughter walks up to it and looks at it and asks "Is it talking?"

And all I could think about was this:

The fact that actors don’t necessarily just retire once they hit 65, meaning we get to watch our favourite characters grow old and stay anchoring, legendary characters on the shows (I’m mostly saying this with soaps in-mind) they’re on. There wouldn’t be much Dot Cotton or Ken Barlow (or even much more left of Phil Mitchell) if they just retired as soon as they clocked 65.
