I’m not saying I don’t feel sorry for Jewish people. I never said that. I think you’ve taken my original post out of context.

Of course they are getting hate regarding the current situation (poor wording in my response to you on my part ), but in this country Muslims have a history of being hated on just for being Muslim.

I never said they don’t but the UK has seen for a long while a lot of people have issues with Muslims for just being Muslims due to the long ongoing immigration issues/terrorist attacks over the years.

It’s not me saying I don’t also feel sorry for Jewish/Christians (and I’m unsure why Cherie felt the need to respond with that response that she did - it’s not a who should I feel sorry for more contest, it was literally just me saying I feel for most Muslims who have no part in ISIS/Gaza as the story was about ISIS not me saying I don’t feel sorry for anyone else).

I feel sorry for the Jewish people, too because they're also victims of discrimination of religious-fuelled hate... but also people should be able to say 'I feel sorry for Muslim people' without it becoming a religion-oppression Olympics. You can feel sorrow for multiple groups of people under persecution at one time.

You talk about brown people hated for being Muslim, then change It to being immigrants in the same sentence. British people don't want people dead, they just want illigal immigrants gone, or dealt with accordingly for breaking the law.

Whereas isis and lots of foreign living muslims want Christians dead, along side the jews..well alongside anyone not muslim really, and if they cant find any of them to kill they will start killing fellow Muslims who are the wrong sect to them.

So I would say your argument that Muslims are in more danger is only true when it involves other Muslims.

The three defendants — Raunaq Alam, Afsheen Khan, and another unnamed individual — were indicted on vandalism charges with hate crime enhancements after allegedly defacing a church with pro-Palestine stickers and the words “******* Israel” written in red spray-paint alongside three inverted triangles. The incident occurred in March 2024 at Uncommon Church in Euless, which was flying an Israeli flag at the time of the incident.

Last week, a jury convicted Alam of committing a felony criminal mischief but rejected the hate crime charges. The trials for Khan and the unnamed co-defendant are scheduled for September 30.

Instagram posts show the pro-Palestine activist group Al Awda Houston calling on their followers to participate in the demonstration and posting a video from the event.

ABC13 made multiple attempts to contact Al Awda. The only member ABC13 was able to make contact with hung up the phone.

ABC13 also spoke with a former member of Al Awda. The source asked to remain anonymous and said they feared retaliation from Al Awda. They claim they left the group because of a culture of "racist remarks" and "escalation" that they felt endangered group members, protest targets, and law enforcement.

"I don't think they're helpful to the movement. I think they've caused a lot of harm and they've pushed so many people away that have wanted to take part in the advocacy for Palestine," they stated.

Israeli actor and DJ Oshri Cohen and Israeli music producer Amit Mizrahi were victims of a frightening attack in Houston, Texas, after Cohen performed at a nightclub event over the weekend.

Mizrahi told Israeli outlet 'mako' that the two had just left the venue, accompanied by security guards, when masked men ambushed them.
The assailants fled the scene before security could intervene, and police reportedly did not arrive, with Mizrahi saying officers dismissed the incident since there were no physical injuries.

The attack comes amid growing tensions for Israeli and Jewish performers abroad. Mizrahi shared screenshots from social media where users called to boycott Cohen’s set because he is Israeli.

One post read: “Stop supporting Israeli artists. They starve innocent people.” Another added: “Israelis who back genocide or stay silent about Palestinians do not deserve a stage.”
