Funny you mention that. We have the Dystonia gene in our family and that was the test they used on me when I was younger to see if I would develop the condition. The physician is also a primary researcher in the disease (we are very fortunate). It's early onset in my family and they still haven't identified the specific mutation, so common genetic testing can't pick it up yet. I wouldn't know if I were even a carrier or not, sadly.
