[A Scottish Borders Council spokesman
said the authority had been
‘working with Police Scotland’ in relation
to the ongoing situation.

He added: ‘This has included the provision
of advice and information about housing options
and other support services.’

Locals have mixed feelings towards the Kubalans.
One said: ‘They do seem nice,
but there’s a sense of uneasiness.
We don’t know much about their culture.’

But Keith Williamson, 54, said:
‘The council offered them a house.
They refused.

‘Their claim on this land
is what irritates everyone.’]

Update.

Local landowner evicts the 3 kabula tribe members from his woodland.

Sheriff officers and police help them onto council owned land, just over a wired metal fence 20 yards away with all their possessions, apart from the remnants of a bonfire.

The tribe then plonker down their chairs and set up a new camp.

The council are now using my tax money to fund court proceedings to shift them from our land.


Let them stay I say, see if their convictions remain as strong once Jack frost gets a hold of the kings balls.
