I want Lanky Cameron out tomorrow night

He’s unsettling in different ways for different people and it’s a game show and not the place for that kind of thing

Lanky Cameron is that person

He’s huge and aggressive and people don’t like being pushed and head locked even if it’s under the banner of playfulness or play fighting or forcibly hugged as Marcus was in tonight’s show

We know Elsa dislikes his constant sexual references and Teja was saying in tonight’s show that she’s had enough of him with others agreeing

caught up with both episodes that clashed with the traitors... this task is pretty much confirming to me that the producers just spend a bunch of money on props with a certain "theme" and then just make up the actual flesh of the task without much thought just turning this into another "which housemate was voted the smelliest...." thing sandwiched between two generic blindfold tasks. I did enjoy the spectacle of them trying to rig it at the end though.

But hey it actually woke Cameron up so that's something I suppose... not that he's much more interesting now that he's not shutting up.

Teja turning into a bit of a grump felt a bit inevitable too. There seem to be some tensions building.

I think there's a tendency with recent series for some viewers to just hedge all their entertainment bets on one housemate... and when they get ejected because they're just a bit of a one-trick bellend and don't have any social skills / are just using this as a platform to pursue a career as a political commentator / podcastnonce who wears a big sign saying "cancelled" and makes it their entire personality, it frees up the rest of the house to start trying to pick each other apart rather than focus on one mutually-agreed outcast.

I still think there's too many similar ages of HM though... not that being older inherently makes you more interesting but I'm just tired of every series being 90% 18-25 year olds who have the same boring chats about drinking and sex and don't have much to say because they're just starting life

Agreed, people always lament that the series is over as soon as a big character leaves but that just frees up the rest of the house to shine. The beauty of BB is that the dynamics and storylines constantly change as people are evicted (or ejected). We often don't see many sides to the housemates in the early days as well because it's such a large group setting and the focus is always on one or two people. I normally only end up having a favourite a few weeks in once we see multiple different layers to a housemate and see them respond to lots of different situations

I get what you're saying to a point MTVN.

But do you honestly see people like Teja being a larger than life personality? Or in fairness Cameron K?

…I did laugh at Fey’s words in yesterday’s highlights after BB told them all that they’d failed the task…I mean, the thing about the shopping tasks is that they have two possible outcomes of either a luxury shopping budget or an economy one/there’s no middle ground to those options…when they were told they’d be in the economy class and Fey saying, oh well it could be worse or whatever…well no, it couldn’t be worse…

i didn't actually mind last nights episode. The task was quite fun and george being thrown out looked like it was just an unlikeable character (to me) being intransigent and not listening. I am still struggling to find any of the hm's interesting. They need near continuous tasks to make it interesting because their topics of conversation just don't do it for me

…that was the thing with George and his reaction in the DR…for me it still felt so flat and surface and I’m really at the place atm of feeling that he was playing a character…that he had no depth of belief of anything he said…his whole personality feels like ‘fake news’…

i think he probably had a bullet point list of topics that he knew from history would be seen as controversial and just worked his way through the list. He probably put the list together 10 mins before going in the house which accounted for the lack of depth. You can tell when someone is sincere, passionate and knowledgeable about the topics he was discussing .... and he wasn't

…one thing that we never seem to hear about anymore…do BB still have a psychologist team, are the housemates still able to go and speak to a psychologist if they’re feeling shake in any way…I was just thinking that’s something that was mentioned a bit back in the day but not something I’ve heard for a while…

…I mean, regardless of our own feelings and views etc and whether we agree with someone or are completely opposed, even…?…the common factor is generally the passion with people who are politically engaged and with social issues etc…and no more so that in today’s world with social media and voices having to raise themselves up loud and proud as it’s so easy to feel drowned out, you know…?…I mean it might just be George’s way as well of how he expresses himself but this is BB and we’re looking for passion and engagement and huge thought going into etc…we’re a hard crowd to please…but it’s like, hmmmmmmm…he would retreat so easily, as if he never believed in what he was saying in the first place…but he knew that it would get highlight airtime clicks…

With how neurotic this lot are, we might be needing them to be going into a Mental Ward.

But yes, I do hope that the Housemates have a care team, because we don't want anything bad happening to them because of a Reality Show.

I've only just watched this as I was very late working yesterday.

Actually this was the best episode so far in my view, or maybe I'm more interested in a morning.
Enjoyed the task too.

What I'd perhaps moan at though is the Elsa/ Marcus tripe on the go again it seems.
Perhaps the public will do the series a positive and evict Elsa tonight.
Which may just a send a message to Marcus too.
Because despite all he said the other day, he now looks a prize fool.

…I think that’s a really good point, Joey…I’m not enjoying watching the spiralling of Elsa and watching someone so fragile but her attachment to Marcus is kind of keeping the negative viewing focus on her and Marcus is going under the radar in his personality…which atm, I haven’t seen many positives to…let’s see Marcus’ BB time and story unfold without Elsa because there are two people engaging in that messy coupling…

I do hope that BB relishes in casting more older housemates next year instead of putting in a selected few

Like the house is too young still, having a good mix of ages, right up to 70, that is casting people from all walks of life.

…yeah, if they’re going to mix ages then it should be a proper more balanced mix…Caroline and Richard gravitate a bit toward each other because they’re both older but would they if there were a more equal mix of their own ages, are the dynamics I’d like to see…

Yes, this Task was better.

Last Night on the Internet Live Feed
