That’s a reach, Jessica. Usually they are worshipped (me included in that). But Feyisola is not one of them. I didn’t mind her too much but last night pulling the race card put me right off of her. If she found it upset her fine, but saying out loud something like that is so detrimental and careless.

Funny how she backtracked when dealing with Cameron k in the room and blamed her upset on past traumas….i don’t know that he actually knows he was accused of racism…I think all he knows is that she was upset by the comment.
He was upset he upset her…I’m sure he would be mortified if he knew she accused him of racism…

I agree, also Teja is my favourite, I didn't like her saying CamKs comment was a micro aggression last night though. If things like this keep happening people are going to be afraid to open their mouths in there. What annoys me is that Camk seems like such an inoffensive guy, interested in everyone's stories etc and Feyisola just seems to have no cares at all about potentially ruining that guy by saying on national TV he's racist. It's not about being on one "side" or the other here, we should all be able to be objective and judge individual situations for what they are

You're a white British man, you have no right to use the term "race card" for something you could never comprehend. We don't know what she has been through or why the term "barking" affected her how it did and we can dislike the way she reacted but you can't say she's playing up how racism and micro aggression affect her life because neither me nor you could fathom it.

At least Teja did cull the racism part (she should have also culled the micro aggression part too though).

The best thing for that house would for Feyisola to be evicted.

In that case, what makes your opinion any more valid than Ben's?

Yeah, i worry it will ruin Tejas chances if she gets sucked in by her and that victim group. She does have a good head on her shoulders but shes still so young

Think you need to reread my post. I said she can feel like that, never said she couldn’t, nor did I say anything about what she has been through. But to say what she said out loud on public TV when it absolutely was not that is irresponsible. If she felt it was racist then she should have sat and had a private chat with Cameron as to why, not throw it out in front of everyone in the midst of it all. What she did was not fine, regardless of past experiences or not.

Any word can have many meanings depending on context. What we rely on is consensus. My understanding is that consenus doesn't attribute bark to being a racially aggressive phrase, otherwise everyone would be aware of it.

People can't just make crap up and expect people to be aware of it

You literally said in the thread title that she brought up the race card. She reacted emotionally, she's human.

Because she did bring up the race card. And in such a public, careless and detrimental way.

But we don't need to guess what "barking" means, or what "barking orders" means. It has absolutely no racial connotations. So me, you, we, anyone has every right to question why it made her think it was a "racial"

She was actually rude to Cameron, but of course nobody gives a **** about Cameron's feelings. Straight, White, Man etc... Double standards as per.

I think this as well.

I can see, even from what we are shown, a pretty smart young lady under the conditioning. I honestly think that she will be one of those that grows out of it.

As the most liberal and leftist person, I found it ridiculous and played into the stereotypes of left-wing people. There was no need, I felt sorry for Cameron who is dealing with his weight issues and is such an incredibly great open-minded guy, and it made me really question Feyisola and also Zey also for playing to her behaviour, I have used that term to white friends and family and I totally understand racial undertones but total overreaction for the sake of it and shes always waiting for someone to say something un pc and jump in - sometimes for good reason but it makes me question her and that sort of reaction is why people who are liberal get called snowflakes

Speaker's intent matters also if they're not from a region that stigmatizes language to the level that others do. The rest of the world is not living in a padded room. We're talking about a small minority of people that screen conversations.
