In fairness Caroline could still receive a lot of nominations since it's a throwaway vote ("she can just save herself, so it doesn't matter if I pick her to her face").

Plus with this eye twist I'd imagine some will think that she's had enough rewards and safety that they can justifiably target her eye tally.
