Caroline started the feud with Richard.

If you were to do a rewatch of those particular episodes, it's Caroline contributing to 99.99% of their "feud."

Richard tbh was a lame duck throughout the whole showdown imo.

And I would argue that there were people that were just as dull as Marcus at the very least in this series, yet the general public kept zoning on Marcus and Tate, which I personally do find to be really odd.

Especially when people like Cameron K has been one of the fan favourites this series.

Yes but he was the catalyst which started it all. I enjoyed both of them together in the house, as there really wasn’t a lot else going on.

But you could argue that the Showmance with Elsa was something that was going on in a series lacking content, plus his friendship with Tate was endearing for Marcus.

Richard only has the Caroline being "mean" to him stuff really, unless him reading the Bible in Bed is a highlight for you?

The showmance was beyond dull though. Probably one of the worst we’ve had on BB (even more dull than BP and Nathan last year).

The friendship between Marcus and Tate was nice (not knocking that), but again incredibly dull.

That could be said for most of the housemates though.

I do agree though the editing has been poor, along with so many other poor things ITV have offered us with BB this year.

But I would say that Elsa was the biggest problem as to why the Showmance was so annoying.

That's a refreshing opinion. A lot of people do wilfully forget that he at least pulled back from her for around a week or so when she got way too intense way too fast.
