Advantages:
1.It will cost less to host with fewer countries. So the UK pays less money 2. With fewer entrants, the UK has more chance of winning 3. It will be a shorter show It's win/win from where i'm standing |

Not sure what the logic is boycotting this year and not previous ones given the changes they've made and now that there is a peace settlement. Makes it seem more driven by spite than principle
