…finally/hopefully Manousos and Carol will be united, I’ve been hoping for his character to be expanded since that first phone call between them and for them to meet…and a bit of an ‘oh’ moment in realising that the lady who was leaving him the ‘food’ was his mother, or did we know that and I somehow missed it…I enjoyed the casino scenes as well with Diabaté…he’s another very intriguing character, I think…

what's great about the series is that it could go in any direction. I really have no idea how it's going to all pan out

episode 7 was very much a filler episode in my opinion, which is a bit disappointing

I liked it. I don’t need every episode to be all drama and action, this has set up for what’s to come very nicely.

Spoiler:

It shows what would happen to somebody after so long alone. She’s also developed an emotional attachment to one of them through loneliness (will be interesting to see how that changes her perceptions overall). And set it up for them to come back to her.

Plus I enjoyed the journey Manousos had. I was worried they’d make it unrealistic in terms of timeframe and difficulty. But they kept the realist time frame of his journey to The Darien. And he failed to cross or even get far in The Darien, as it’s so difficult to cross. I’m glad he failed; not because I dislike him but him succeeding with no equipment etc wouldn’t have kept that realism there. I’m intrigued to see if his views change now they’ve saved him.

I think Rhea's acting has been impeccable.

it's not that i didn't enjoy the episode, it's just that i thought they could have had the meet up this episode. That was why i consider it filler. Maybe it proves to be very significant in the future .... we will see

I’m glad they haven’t met yet. His journey would have been too easy, and she wouldn’t have started to crack from loneliness. Plus it’s forced him to have to have their help.

I think they both carried pretty much solo dialogue scenes really well.

…Noooooooooo!!!!!!…@bots …for me, it absolutely wasn’t a filler episode…

…. it was a really important episode to lead up to the final and to…(…hopefully and possibly…)…Carol and Manousos finally meeting…I think because they are such different people from totally different worlds…?…it was so important to show those differences…how Manousos had no trust at all in the shiny happy people so won’t accept anything from them..he won’t accept food or water or help in his journey and yet they’ve offered to help him to reach Carol…and we know they can’t lie…?..but he doesn’t know that and wouldn't believe it anyway/…he’s chosen to completely isolate from the happy’s in every way that Carol hasn’t in the same ways…and Carol, herself was such a non people person…someone who was quite insulated emotionally etc and didn’t need people around her very much in her life didn’t even like people that much…?…and there she is/able to just request anything her heart desires or just take anything…a priceless painting, a super car, eating in any restaurant/anything she wants on the menu will be there etc…?…but all of that now means nothing, she’s so craving human contact that will she actually give into the happys…?…

…and even things like Manousos learning English on his journey to be able to communicate when he finally meets her and how hazardous and long/impossible his journey is…?…it’s the very opposite of filler for me…so pivotal, so important to establish these layers of both characters when we think they’re on the cusp of finally meeting…
