Thanks for the recommendation, Ammi. Though like Livia, I also have to voice displeasure at the makers invariably tampering with the source material and whatnot in order to appease 'modern' audiences who, by and large, probably won't engage with the end product anyway (not that attaining that hypothetical viewership would justify it imo). My favourite Christie adaptations are the Albert Finney movie, the Suchet series (which itself wasn't above tampering with the source material, to varying degrees of success), and the Sam Neil/Charles Dance-led adaptation of And Then There Were None. Those are the cream of the crop Agatha Christie adaptations imo. Having said that, I've never actually watched the Joan Hickson Ms Marple series. I should rectify that sometime soon.
