Mason Greenwood plays tonight !

Supposedly he’s the best player in France not playing for PSG

I don’t recall him being that special ?

Mmm good result for Liverpool

Haven’t watched the game as yet but they were apparently back to their best form

Wirtz was great again and even Kerkez was supposedly excellent.

Ominous….

Still think it’s crazy that under investigation Manc can spend over 200 million in this window and Villa who have wealthier owners are scraping around looking to spend about £20 million

City are a much bigger club, they have huge revenue and they have also sold a lot of players and received good money. They also pick up very good players for a good price. It's a well run club

Given the 115 investigated offences still pending I expected then to be prevented from buying anyone UNTIL they were in the clear

That would protect the other clubs and ensure that City didn’t continue to delay and disrupt the proceedings

innocent until proven guilty. What you seem to be ignoring is that every other club in the premier league has been cooking the books/

FFP has a primary function, to ensure that the club does not go bust. Everton and forrest were very close to going out of business so they received sanctions. Man City is a very well run club that is in no danger of going bust so FFP in terms of sanctions, is just not applicable. That's why everything has gone silent

Apparently the favoured strategy used by mega wealthy companies to fight court cases - is to delay and postpone and complicate the case in question

- ManC have the advantage of being able to use all those tactics times 115 resulting in an incredibly long legal battle … the key result being unbelievably high costs increasing on a daily basis .. but of course that suits ManC far more than the Premier League.

City are hoping that the Premier League will get to the point where they cut their losses and drop the case

Even if and when a final verdict is reached, that may not signal the end of the process. The commission will initially rule only on matters of liability - with a separate sanctions hearing to follow should any of the charges be upheld.

City would also retain the right to appeal any guilty verdict or punishment imposed.

Aston Villa play today against Fenerbahce
17.45pm

Interestingly they will be up against Asensio and ex Arsenal guy Mattéo Guendouzi

I was so disappointed when Arsenal dispensed with Guendouzi ..

Man City have the wealth of a country to back their legal case. Most of the charges are duplicates of the same type of thing. None of the charges suggest that Man City is going out of business, which, i repeat, is the purpose of the rules in the first place.

Interesting take on things

::

The 115 charges have been broken down to five different categories.
• 54x Failure to provide accurate financial information 2009-10 to 2017-18.
• 14x Failure to provide accurate details for player and manager payments from 2009-10 to 2017-18.
• 5x Failure to comply with Uefa's rules including Financial Fair Play (FFP) 2013-14 to 2017-18.
• 7x Breaching Premier League's PSR rules 2015-16 to 2017-18.
• 35x Failure to co-operate with Premier League investigations December 2018 - Feb 2023.
The lengths City went to in their defence appear to have prolonged matters.
"The legal teams involved... I'm pretty sure the Premier League has never come up against anything like this," said Yasin Patel - barrister at Church Court Chambers.

Greenwood was always a good player. United would have kept him if there were not the huge public outcry over his behaviour
