We can all laugh and say Don Lemon had it coming, fine — nobody here is exactly a fan. But seriously, what’s the point of going after a journalist like this?

He’s got a massive platform to tell his version of events, he can spin it however he wants, he can frame ICE as the villain, and he’s got the money and lawyers to drag this out forever. Nothing about this actually helps the situation. It just hands him an opportunity to play the victim and rally his audience.

So yeah, people can gloat if they want, but let’s not pretend this achieves anything meaningful.

Celebrating a woman who, let’s see: has a peadophile husband and I think a violent illegal immigrant brother? Could be wrong

Edit: husband pled guilty to the attempted rape of a 16yr old and then a few years later pled guilty to first degree manslaughter.

Her brother was charged and later convicted of predatory sexual assault on a child under 13 and related offences.

He wasn’t put in prison for being a journalist. He was jailed for breaking court orders and contempt of court. That’s the law in the UK and it applies to everyone, including journalists. You don’t get a free pass to ignore the courts just because you film yourself and shout online.

Oh dear — Lemon’s lawyers were already on MSNBC. This might actually work out for him if he plays it right. If he decides to run for office, he’ll probably pull in a lot of support. These are bad optics for Trump and all the first amendment advocates
