It's similar to Valentine's Day that is heavily celebrated in some Asian countries such as Japan and South Korea, possibly a few others but I'm not 100% sure on that.

…I hadn’t known of White Day so I looked it up…it’s mainly for men who have received Valentine’s Day gifts to reciprocate with gifts back to the giver…?…(…which seems a bit odd with Valentine’s Day being based on an ‘unknown giver’ …I know that gift giving in general has a huge significance in Japanese culture, I recall a conversation with Sooty about it when she was visiting one time…anyway, Mystic Mock the Educator as always….

Yeah Japan really loves celebrating White Day.

A lot of their Entertainment really helped me learn the basics of the holiday tbh.
