Most trans people just want to get on with their lives. It only becomes everyone’s business because other people keep dragging it into debates, laws, and threads like this.

I'm not getting into it today, but that sounds like a load of nonsense to me. To many visible placards, to many men bare chested flashing their pretend tits in the streets on Saturday afternoons these days for them to be wanting a quiet life.

You’re judging an entire group based on a handful of people at protests or Pride.

A few visible activists don’t represent every trans person any more than the loudest football fans represent every supporter. Most trans people aren’t marching, waving placards or doing anything in the street. They’re at work, at home, paying bills, getting on with life.

Also, Pride exists because people were attacked, criminalised and silenced for decades. Visibility didn’t come out of nowhere. It came from having to fight to be treated like everyone else.

Saying they can’t want a quiet life because you’ve seen a parade once or twice just isn’t a serious argument. It’s generalising based on what annoys you personally.

People weren’t calling everyone with an English flag racist. They were reacting to specific behaviour tied to specific events. Same with football fans. Same with Trump supporters. Context matters.

You’re comparing criticism of behaviour or political movements to someone just existing as trans. That’s not the same thing. Being trans isn’t a campaign. It’s an identity.
