The talk of the political people online about the possibility of there being "no deaths" and this being a great political victory is annoying. It ignores the deaths of those in those countries most affected... for one... and then also the fact Trump had insisted already some casualty was going to be likely. Still, focusing on the number is missing the plot also. Any amount of death is a tragedy. Yes, less is better, but the quicker that this can possibly go, the better the outcome for just about everyone involved...

Unrelated, our primary is tomorrow. It's another data point but it will be interesting to see how that impacts things also as that's when most Republicans show up to the polls. Election outcomes will certainly impact any future decision-making in terms of a time table. Thinking otherwise is probably foolish... but if it means more hard left candidates rise out of it, then that may actually be desirable depending both on how cynical the administration thinks the average public has become and also whether they get the "right" candidates to run against them. It looks like a few candidates could be primaried locally but I think it leads to a run off so it's hard to say.

edit: fixed errors

Starmer isn't looking at the big picture. We rely on America and things have never been more dangerous than they are now

The 4th USA Troop who died was an Ejected Pilot
who did not land well, he died in a hospital in Kuwait, sadly.

Also, LNG Liquid Gas,
has had to stop due to this new war.
So that has gone well up in price.

Reading through this thread, it feels like we’re all supposed to be “for” this war, and anyone who isn’t gets written off as weak. I’m struggling to see what Britain or Europe actually gain from getting dragged into it. What’s the tangible benefit for us, our economy, or our security? Because right now it looks like we’re backing a conflict without any clear idea of what we get out of it.

i'm supporting the removal of a cruel terrorist regime. However, I don't think this will be the end of the story, just the nature of the threat will change.

The people can't rise up against 500,000 armed regime supporters. I also have no idea what the Shah's grandson is doing. Does he think people have forgotten how corrupt the Shah's regime was
