I always carry cash, if you don't use it, you'll lose it. If I can't use cash in a shop or cafe, they obviously don't want my business. I do use a credit card for certain things, I would never use my phone to pay and there are no details of my bank account on my phone.

I pay using my Apple iWatch normally though there are quite a few foreign owned fast food places who will only take cash …
