Yesterday

We flew to Tenerife for Easter. Smooth journey and hot here due to a calima which looks to be clearing today.

I lost my favourite sunglasses which I’ve had for 3 years - I stupidly put them on the roof of the rental car when putting my backpack in and forgot them. As we were driving along the motorway we heard a weird sound of something on the roof and I realised it was my glasses flying off :

They were only Ł4 from ASOS but I loved them.

Its Baby Lukey's birthday today, 22 years old. He was 5 when I joined TiBB

We're going to have dinner and a few drinks at home tonight with him and his g/f to celebrate and then tomorrow they're off camping for a couple if days with some friends .....in the stormy weather

…speaking of lost/precious sun-wear things…I had a sun-hat which I absolutely loved, it also wasn’t expensive but it was the perfect fit and just an any/every occasion summer/holiday sunhat that I loved…when I was away at Christmas time, when I got back from a boozy day I realised that I didn’t have it with me and was far too drunk to go looking for it so decided to just leave it in that beautiful place that sun-hats love…I do have a new one now but it just isn’t quite the fit that the other one was that I’d had for many years…

Went to Pilates so feeling very zen as she does a 5 minute mindfulness session at the end where you just lie on the mat and she talks absolute drivel but its lovely Let your mind go to the space behind your eyes and reaffirm you are effortlessly confident, that kind of thing, I also managed to kick the man on the mat behind me in the face while exercising but he was very gracious about it

Went to the bakery and got some hot cross buns for lunch..

Will take Tilly out later, its pretty cold even in the Sun...typical Easter weather

…oh absolutely I’m that gal, there was a big group of us looking at and menu tasting for a wedding venue and I was one of the chosen dedicated cocktail menu samplers because not every one of us could have got that important job done/completed…but even sacrificing my best sunhat, I completed the task beautifully, I was THAT gal……

Just drunk endless amounts of chamomile tea technically today so-far (mostly to just help through the night). I’ll go to church (for my sins), maybe watch an Easter-film (if I can stay awake/be bothered), come home, have a nap and then start prepping cooking-wise. That’s my Good Friday in one. No animated bunnies (alas). No wild Easter-vibes. Just getting ready for the weekend. It might end up being more exciting than I have it mapped out in my head but only time will tell.
