This is about Mothering Sunday which is on 22 March
This is about Mother's Day Note Quote:
ERGO 22 March is Mothering Sunday, not Mother's Day. My local Sainsbury's has been saying Mothers Day is 22 March which is wrong ![]() |

Mothers Day is just another name for Mothering Sunday so whether or not it started out as something different its now the same. Dose it really matter? Who really says Mothering Sunday anyway?

It's a point of principle
Mothering Sunday is what we celebrate in the UK Mother's Day is an American holiday and on a different day |

the americans celebrate on their day we do on ours doesnt really matter they are 2 different days in 2 different months personally for me its just another one of hallmarks money making things (same as christmas fathers day valentines day and so on) while yes i send something to my mum and step mum its always a small homemade card and homemade token gift cos i dont need a day to tell them how special they are and how much i love them

Does it really matter what it is called? The reason behind the day is more important than the actual name.

Well it is a good thing you're not a mother, Sticks. I'd dread to think how you'd react otherwise.
