I agree. I'm not just saying this because I dislike Makosi, but nobody should be living in the country illegally! She shouldn't be excempt for the law just because she's been on Big Brother. If any of the housemates mugged an old lady (for example), the police wouldn't just overlook it because they'd been on Big Brother, would they?

if she promised to immediately go back to nursing, would she be allowed to stay here?

Surely the point is that she hasn't flounced the rules. She is leaving isn't she? Has anyone heard that she is not and if not I assume she is staying legally somehow.

As to the lying thing. Yes she lied but I seriuosly think a high proportion of that was as part of the game. I don't believe she would lie that much in the real world.

Well she is leaving because she was here on a visa for working as a nurse and she gave that up a few months ago and thus flounced the rules and her purpose for living here.

Exactly, she has to go cos the law says so. She is not having any special concesions [spelt?? ] as people here seem to imply [or maybe I'm just mis-reading].

I personally bet she does get offered a new job and stays but if not then she is gone as far as I can see.

I don't think she deserves to be called an 'illegal immigrant'. She was here on a visa which has now expired. I think there is a difference - she didn't enter the country illegally.

Also, I was under the impression that the authorities had put a halt to deportations to Zimbabwe. No?

She invented a pregnancy for attention. I'd say that was pretty hardcore. And she didn't do that for gain as far as the other hm's were concerned, as those she told were already in her pocket, anyway. The lie was told to BB and, as it was told in the diary room, the entire audience. Therefore, she lied to us for personal gain. That's not game-playing, it's just very sick indeed. The woman can't be trusted on any level, and therefore should not be allowed within 100 yards of a hospital, let alone patients.

She lied, even when ther was no apparent reason to do so. Even worse, she seems capable of convincing herself of her own lies, something I can't stand in people, as it makes it very difficult for them to accept facts which go against their views of how things should be.Also, I find it somewhat unhealthy.

I think it's more the fact that she is acting as though she has done nothing wrong and is being unfairly victimised that annoys people.

James has a good point though - she did not enter the country as an illegal immigrant, although having broken the rules of her visa, she could be perceived as now being here illegally. But I also thought that deportations to Zimbabwe had been stopped, so I wonder what will happen if that is the case?
