It is not enough to have "Nettle cream", nettles cause something akin to a chemical burn. Channel 4 / Endemol are inflicting chemical burns on contestants.

A recent court case in France held that contestants on a reality tv show are employees. If we could translate that to here, then making someone handle a bio-hazard without adequate protection could be a breech of health and safety legislation.

The bricks on bare feet could have caused injury, and as for the cactus, a puncture of the skin could cause infection.

Again Health and safety issues.

The egg thing is a delicacy so I am not commenting about that

How long is Channel 4 / Endemol going to flout health and safety, put contestants in harms way for entertainment purposes.

How far are they going to go?
Russian Roulette?
God yes..

A Deer Hunter themed task week would be frikin awesome.

The housemates were not forced to do the task. If they didn't want to get hurt, they simply had to refuse. Nonetheless, they took part.

If there's a Bus Stop, there shoulld also be a Gas Stop, for anyone who likes to let their arse do the talking. Should I start a poll about this?
Bus stop and a gas station perhaps?
Bit of a city center them forming?

Thank you for your e-mail. We can assure you that each sport was devised and thoroughly tested in consultation with a Doctor and a Health and Safety Advisor. The well-being of the housemates is always of paramount concern to both the programme producers and Channel 4.

Please be assured that your complaint has been logged and distributed
throughout Channel 4 for the attention of the series makers.

Thank you again for taking the time to contact us.

So a doctor and a health and safety advisor ok'd something whereby someone receives something akin to a chemical burn?

Whither that bit in the Hippocratic oath, I will do no harm

I missed something somewhere.

What you missed somewhere is your own lack of expertise. No one is likely to think you better qualified to judge the hazards of a task than a qualified doctor and a Health and Safety Adviser. A nettle sting is "akin to a chemical burn" only in the sense that it makes you go "ouch!". Unlike a chemical burn it isn't a potentially disfiguring thing, and needs no treatment other than a little ointment. After an hour or so it stops stinging, and the visible rash will have gone by the next day. It's harmless.
