Default Remember the psychologist episode?

I think it was on every wednesday when they used to interrupt the daily footage with a psychologist. I loved it. Instead of wasting eviction interview time, they should go back to doing that with Judi James.

Big Brother's Big Brain?
It didn't get very good ratings so they axed it.

No, this was years ago, there was a special episode weekly where they had a psychoanalyist er, analysing the housemates. It was like any other daily show, but with that added in.

I hated it, probably because at the time i was too young to be interested in why they were acting in the way they were

Judi James. Last night she said that Sree had made himself nominatable this week which is why he was up. But he had the same number of nominations this week as he did last week. Most of the time they're talking out of their arse.

The psycology show on a Sunday night was quite good though most people think psycology and psycologists are a waste of space - all of them - almost as if no-one is allowed to, or be skillful at, analysing behavior.

People are allowed to be qualified at analysing behaviour. The people on BB usually aren't. Judi James is "qualified" because she used to run a school for catwalk models. Check her website. That's what she lists as her main qualification.

Most qualified psychologists refuse to go on the programme because it's unethical from a psychological standpoint. Those that do go on are told by the producers to only say the most basic populist things and to focus on shock instead of actual psychology. They are also fed things to say by the producers.

If you want real psychological analysis BB isn't the place to look.

Yes I remember this and I liked it. I think they had it for BB5 at least cos I addicted to that. I taped every show going then.

If it came back that would be fine, but I'm not bothered either way.

I really do miss both the psychologists' commentary (they stopped doing it after BB6 I think) and Big Brother's Big Brain. My guess is their reason for removing these shows is to do with a gradual dumbing down of the format.

I'm not too sure about On the Couch. They had some interesting things to say, but I really have to question the credentials of psychologists who invite a sociopath like Grace from BB7 onto their show for a discussion.
