Default If BB UK Is the longest running series in the world....

How come the Americans are starting the 11th series??

Did they do 2 series a year? Typical they probley just wanted to say they had the most series, Hate them and their version is **** to, watched one series of it and got bored half way through, the host talks like a ****en robot, the house"guest" are all boring with no personalities, and on Youtube theres a clip saying "The Biggest Fight in BB History" yet all it is is 2 bitches arguing over Nominations

If thats what they call a massive fight I would love to see a small row over there, All they need to do is look at BB5 Or even BB9s Spit thing with Dennis.

Last year they had two series due to the writer's strike which halted production of all the dramas, comedies etc.

Otherwise they only have one a year.

It's also worth noting that technically theirs has been running longer than ours regardless, as their first series started about a week before ours.

They did one series a year, starting in 2000, but last year they did two series (BB9/BB10). They start 11th series later this month.

Oh and BBUK is not the longest running 'Big Brother'. BBUSA started before BBUK, so did BB Germany and BB Spain. All three are still running. If you are talking actual day's airing BB - BB Germany wins hands down as it's aired BB for over 1,600 days.

BBUK does hold the record for number of series though, but only if you count CBB and other spin-offs. BBUK has had 18 series.

Counting only main BB series (not CBB etc.) then BBUSA would take the crown as it's 11th series starts in a few days.

If you talking tv series in general then I am afraid not. WWE formely known as WWF has been running for decades.

The star trek franchise has been running for along time too.

That was just 'the best houseguests', the same as our rumoured 'All Stars'' will be about

Actually, no... The celebrity BB UK doesn't really factor into it. In the US, there are no celebrity BBs. And the UK Celeb BB ran during the same years as you had a regular BB. It is only because the US had two seasons during 2008 because of the writers strike.

I was going to make almost the same post but then you did.
Nothing else to add now I think about it.

First, you have to ignore any labels such as "biggest fight in BB history" because they are created by people like us. And they are COMPLETELY subjective. For example, we have had two moments this season on BB UK that people have claimed to be the greatest DR moments in the history of the show. Other people disagree and say that it is something else from a previous season.

Second, the two shows are completely different. Other than the fact that they are isolated in the house and have Big Brother's condescending voice, there are no other real similarities. I find the UK version to be MUCH less exciting than the US version because that is what I am used to watching. That doesn't mean that I don't enjoy the UK version. It is just different. I consider it a completely different show... which it is. You are used to the UK version. So you are going to perceive the other version differently because it isn't what you are used to. However, if you just have a hate of America so you are going to hate anything they come up with, you have bigger issues.

No the UK version is just better in everything full stop.

I have watched BB USA and its **** and boring and not exciting at all, Im not sayen BB UK is the best because I live in the UK, I watched BB AUS one time and thought it was really good, I would say the same about USA Only thing is, There version is ****.

And the reason why I hate them so much more than any other country is because Americans always think there the best in everything they do.

And the person on Youtube who had the video titled
"The Biggest FIGHT In BB History!!!" just proves how Americans think their the only people excisiting, they didnt even bother to look around and see if there was any oher massive fights.

Wow... are you being a troll or do you really think like that? Do you realize how ignorant it sounds? You hate an entire country because the people who live there think a certain way. I'm sorry but you are talking absolute bollocks. Basically you are claiming to hate a country because they act exactly the way you are currently acting. Nice. I have lived in both places. The US does some things better than the UK. The UK does some things better than the US. There are nice people in the UK. There are nice people in the US. There are absolutely a**holes in the UK. There are absolute a**holes in the US. And if you are claiming that one American who put a title on their YouTube video speaks for an entire nation, you should probably stop spending time on this forum and go read a book or otherwise educate yourself.
