Sophie swapped food for a can of cider with Marcus. Marcus was too lazy to get it and told Sophie to go into his drawer for it. She happened to see his secret stash of fags while doing so.

The beds have drawers built into them.

So in a sense when Sophie went to his bed for the beer Marcus has swapped for her food, she looked in the drawers that are built into Marcus' bed.
