I mainly just try to ignore the trolls, but I have been drawn into their trap a few times over the past few days, especially with one or two who post such horrible things that I feel I have to say something.

I'm going to just not read their posts in future though and do my best to ignore posters who I know are going to just wind me up by my reading their BS.

Last night was terrible on here, I do know I'm over sensitive at times though and probably need to toughen up a bit if I'm going to stick with a forum for any length of time.

Hey misskitty - I'm also a Manc, and a sensitive soul like you and get pi**ed off with it at times. You're not alone.

It's the 'troll' posts where there are only a few posts to their name that need total avoidance - gotta be someone/a few who are just getting different accounts and posting the same BS - I'm actually starting to find it quite funny now in a kind of 'bless em, there they go again' kind of way....

I have a couple of people on my ignore list. Trolls aren't really a big issue for me. I read the post and I move on.

i've got one person on ignore just now. the trolls don't bother me as much coz they don't usually stay too long.

i used it coz this poster was commenting on every post i made with stupid , comments like, "noirin's gone get over it" on a thread about something totally different, or "fail" or "blah blah blah" or "you're a bitch/slut/slag/*****" or the sleeping smilie. he was hounding me and still won't stop. he's been banned and was banned again last night coz he's really abusive to other members.

i listen to other's point of view, don't agree with all of them, but i wouldn't ignore someone coz i didn't agree.

Yeah, like I said, it isn't about those I don't agree with. Being a troll is not the same as having a different opinion. Being a troll is specifically someone who says anything and everything just to wind people up. The ones who start 700 threads in an hour all saying something bizarre and/or extremely offensive just to get a rise out of people. Or the people who respond to people by calling them ******ers or whatever... all the time. They really are ruining this board. But like someone said, the schools are on holiday so that might be why it is especially bad lately.
